In the News: Huntington to Acquire Veritex Community Bank With this acquisition, Huntington will create a presence in Texas and will then be in 15 states. Huntington is a top 25 US bank and a top 10 regional bank prior to this acquisition. Founded in 1866 in Columbus, Ohio, I only learned this bank existed last December, because they were converting their Merchant Services business model from referral to in house and hiring payments acquiring veterans to help. Huntington is one to put on your radar.
