📡 U.S. FCC Proposes New Rules to Accelerate Satellite Internet On June 13, 2025, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to revise spectrum-sharing regulations for satellite broadband systems operating in the 10.7–12.7 GHz, 17.3–18.6 GHz, and 19.7–20.2 GHz frequency bands. The proposal seeks to modernize outdated equivalent power-flux density (EPFD) limits and introduce more flexible sharing frameworks to improve coexistence between geostationary (GSO) and non-geostationary (NGSO) satellite networks.
