The Franklin Institute and Universal Destinations & Experiences have announced “Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition,” a fully immersive, interactive showcase opening February 14, 2026 in Philadelphia. The 18,000 sq ft space will feature eight themed galleries, over 100 original artifacts, and 25 hands-on experiences to highlight robotics, ride design, animatronics, and special effects. For themed entertainment professionals, the lesson here is clear: the story of tech - not just the final ride - is becoming part of the guest journey itself. When you let visitors experiment with programming animated figures, build coasters, or explore the infrastructure of a ride, you’re shifting from “view-only” to “participate.” 🔧 Operational Implications: • Your museum, attraction or park can design “meta-experiences” where guests explore the creation engine of the venue, not just the end product. • Data and infrastructure setups (robotics, ride mechanics, interactivity) now double as narrative assets. Ever wondered what a Television PR actually does? For comms experts I often find people working in TV PR aren't always great at explaining what we do ourselves - the services and support offered to ensure TV shows find their audience, cut-through in a busy world and get re-commissioned; that TV production companies making brilliant work and organisations and creatives helping to shape the industry get the recognition that helps to amplify their work. In this interview with Ashley Golder for the TV Makers Podcast Gem Pinkney does as succinct a job of explaining what it means to be a TV PR as I've heard. Worth a listen, particularly for anyone wondering about a career in the industry.

Electronic music is currently worth over $10 billion globally, and is expected to double in the next 10 years.
