Our team consisting of students become one of the prize winners (third price) at the MTA Back on Track Hackathon as organized by Microsoft and Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). We built an Android app, named Safe Metro Rider, for the safety of train passengers for all the stages of travel during the COVID pandemic. We looked at travel patterns to find solutions that facilitated safe travel by predicting the platform occupancy level as well as the live occupancy of different train… Show more

This awareness will help ensure that the passengers are better informed of the best time to travel, ensure safety and help save lives. In the process of building the application, we were exposed to Azure technology stack like Azure API Management, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, Azure Pipelines, etc.
