The time is now to make sure your organisation has the appropriate number of subscriptions to NBR - National Business Review We’ve just banned global financial services giant Macquire Group from subscribing to NBR. The ASX-listed company – which employs close to 20,000 staff globally and has a market capitalisation of A$79 billion – had just ONE subscription to us. Our investigations have found apparent widespread misuse of that subscription, with up to 35 different people appearing to have used the single subscription since October alone. So, as we said we would, we’ve taken action and will be seeking damages for the breach of our copyright. Our hope, however, is that other organisations will take this as a reminder to look at whether they have the right number of subscriptions to NBR. There will be no questions asked and no action taken against any who do come forward to purchase the proper amount. Do the right thing.

✈️ Government Shutdown Travel Impacts: What Travelers Should Know — and Why Partnership Matters With the current government shutdown, we’re already seeing ripple effects across the travel industry — including potential FAA slowdowns, flight delays, and cancellations. Air traffic operations and safety inspections are among the areas likely to feel strain as federal staffing is reduced, which can translate into longer wait times, disrupted schedules, and limited rebooking options. For anyone traveling in the coming days, a few proactive steps can make all the difference: ✅ Stay informed: Check flight status regularly through your airline’s app or website, and enable notifications for real-time updates. ✅ Arrive early: Give yourself extra time at the airport — at least 2.5 hours for domestic flights and 3.5 for international. ✅ Stick to major hubs: Larger airports typically offer more rebooking flexibility if disruptions occur. ✅ Monitor seat maps: If a flight is nearly full, consider switching to one with more availability to lower your risk of being bumped or rerouted. ✅ Be flexible: Conditions can shift quickly; patience and preparation go a long way. Right now, airports like ATL, ORD, DFW, JFK, LAX, and SEA are among those where travelers should pay especially close attention to updates. Why Working with a Corporate Travel Partner Matters More Than Ever During situations like this, having an experienced travel management team on your side is invaluable. Our systems monitor cancellations, airline waivers, and rebooking options in real time, allowing us to act quickly on behalf of travelers — securing the best available alternatives, applying waivers to avoid extra costs, and ensuring travelers receive accurate, timely information. While no one can prevent a government shutdown or its cascading effects on travel, the right partner can make the difference between chaos and calm. If your organization doesn’t currently have a corporate travel partner, now is the time to start that conversation. When uncertainty hits, proactive support and industry expertise are the best tools you can have.

Distribution strategy is the new battleground in travel. In an environment where demand shifts fast and customer expectations evolve even faster, how you distribute matters as much as what you sell. Open platforms consistently outperform closed ecosystems because they put the traveler first—offering broader choice, transparent pricing, and real-time flexibility. They also give businesses the resilience to adapt when suppliers, regulations, or demand patterns change overnight. Walled gardens may create short-term control, but openness creates long-term trust, scalability, and survival. The brands that will win are those that treat distribution not as a cost center, but as a strategic advantage. The future of travel belongs to platforms that are open, agile, and traveler-centric. #TravelIndustry #DistributionStrategy #TravelTech #OpenPlatforms #CustomerExperience #DigitalTransformation #OTA #Aviation #TravelLeadership

The fix isn’t chasing higher tiers... it’s changing the game entirely. The smartest travelers have stopped competing for diluted perks and started optimizing for yield. Earn privately. Burn publicly. Because the modern traveler’s edge doesn’t come from a shiny tag; it comes from understanding how to turn spend into strategy 👇🏻

#TravelAgainDaily: Are "Ultra Low Cost Carriers" really done? Frontier says the model “is alive and well” despite record losses. Frontier Airlines CEO Barry Biffle says the ultra-low-cost model remains “alive and well,” even with yield pressure from a seat glut and Spirit’s recent turmoil. Frontier is pushing into the top 20 metros and expects overall supply to tighten over the next 1-2 years. We’ll watch fares, ancillaries, and network adds as well as the viability of Frontier's financial turnaround plan despite losing 37 cents per share in 2Q25. https://lnkd.in/eVfbGdmi #TravelAgainDaily #Airlines #Strategy #Pricing #ULCC Mike McCormick Ed Silver
