This makes diagnostics easier and of course, increases the intelligence of the machine, which makes it smarter. LLMs for the floor, not just the lab: Google is rolling out first-voice task assistants that understand your workflows. This makes AI Assistantship much more clearer and it also allows AI assistants to enter the real social-economical world. Things are bout to change in near future, with much more AI improvements that can change the way we live, the way we live and the way we interact with computers and android robots. In medicine (as with all innovative design), user needs research is a cornerstone to success. Of late, I’ve been thinking a lot about the dogma and assertions against this wholly capitalist first principle, where the Ford Model T is often the poster child for bucking this philosophy. We have likely heard “Faster Horses” and “Any Colour as long as it’s black”. Yet there is no good evidence supporting either. My take is that the Model T was not the first car (of course), and there was a need for economically viable, faster transport for the masses that could be learned within only a few hours. Ford shows how knowing the customer's needs and building only to address them was the key to breakout success. User-centric design is everything! People in the early 1900s wanted faster transport, and if it was within reach and they were aware of the solution, they would have flocked to cars. AND they did. This is an example of market forces and not companies dictating to consumers what they need. It irks me that the story is used as a stick against user research, yet the case is actually a masterclass in capturing tier 2 and 3 non-customers What’s your take? Comment below 👇

With QMSR now effective, I’m seeing more conversations from QA and RA teams about transition plans, gap analyses, and audit readiness. From the perspective of building and investing in MedTech products, what interests me most is where the work actually gets difficult. Not at the level of regulation itself, but in the day-to-day effort of understanding existing documentation, linking it to requirements, and keeping that picture coherent as deadlines approach. Together with Eric de Zeeuw and Nick Kramer, we recently launched AI Gap Analysis to explore this problem space. The starting assumption was that a lot of time and energy go into locating evidence across documents and mapping it back to specific clauses, especially during transitions like QMSR. What we’re trying to learn now is whether this approach is genuinely helpful in practice. If you’re currently transitioning to QMSR or have recently gone through it, I’d be interested in hearing whether a tool like this would fit into your workflow, or where it would fall short.
