New from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST): Bridging CSF 2.0 and CUI Requirements On July 18, 2025, NIST released a draft mapping between the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0 and SP 800-171 Rev. 3 (Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations). This mapping is now available in NIST’s Online Informative References (OLIR) catalog (https://lnkd.in/emYxddDE) 🔍 Why this matters: This mapping helps organizations align voluntary cybersecurity practices (CSF 2.0) with mandatory federal requirements (800-171 Rev. 3) for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). CSF 2.0:A flexible framework used across industries to manage and reduce cybersecurity risk. SP 800-171 Rev. 3: A set of required controls for contractors and vendors working with the U.S. federal government.
