Are we optimizing for speed? Managing risk? Prioritizing user satisfaction? Every org is different. But when you understand the decision-making landscape, you can navigate it with purpose, and help your team have greater impact, faster.

As a design leader, the complex and messy experiences are the ones I look for. When the work refuses to stay confined to a single screen. Over time, I’ve found myself pulled toward these systems and we've done a lot of work to showcase it. - Helping automotive clients create continuity from showroom to in-car interface - Designing onboarding flows that feel native to both the mobile app and the physical device - Building experiences that have to live across internal platforms and public-facing tools It’s not that complexity is inherently exciting - it’s that it demands cohesion. When someone opens an app to set up a product, I want that experience to feel like it came from the same mind as the object in their hand. Visuals, interactions, structure—it should all feel connected. That’s where most of the design work lives: in the spaces between. I’ve seen our strongest contributions come when we step into those gaps. Sometimes we’re building the last 10% that doesn’t exist yet. Other times we’re working side-by-side with technical teams to bring an idea to life across surfaces. It’s not just about design craft—it’s about orchestrating alignment
