Three years ago, when we said Manufacturing Tech was the next frontier, we mostly got blank stares. Today, the momentum is undeniable. AI is finally unlocking the digitization wave that manufacturing has waited decades for. And with public investment, private capital, and physical infrastructure like Solano Foundry coming online, the sector is positioned to catch up to the rest of the economy. Since 2000, industries like Financial Services, Information, and Business Services have tripled their GDP contributions, fueled by decades of digitization and software adoption. Meanwhile, Manufacturing has only doubled. That gap represents a $3.8 trillion catch-up opportunity and the window to build the enabling layer is wide open. The time is now. The infrastructure is forming. And the tools to modernize the industrial backbone of the country are finally here. We’re actively backing founders at this inflection point. This is what responsible innovation looks like. And we’re just getting started. At Paradromics we’ve always taken a clinically grounded approach to brain-computer interfaces. “Synchron uses the blood vessel route. The downside: The brain-activity readings from the electrodes tend to be less precise.” Neuralink devices have not stayed implanted in animals or humans for as long time as Paradromics devices have lasted in sheep. Additionally, the Neuralink vision of BCI as a mass consumer product is not well received. Dr. Iahn Cajigas, a neurosurgeon at the University of Pennsylvania who has done pioneering research on brain implants, and has installed them in a handful of patients. “As a clinician, I find that kind of a dangerous way to talk.” As CEO Matt Angle was quoted by CNBC "We see that the first million people to get brain computer interfaces are going to be getting them to treat severe medical conditions.” That focus is why our Connexus Direct Data Interface earned FDA Breakthrough Device status and is now moving toward its first-in-human clinical trial.
