You can compose unique, personalized InMails to send to up to 25 recipients at once using AI assistance in LinkedIn Recruiter.

Who can use this feature?

The AI-assisted bulk messages feature is available to LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services (RPS), and LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers. This allows you to send bulk initial messages using AI assistance. Sending bulk follow-up messages using AI assistance is only available to LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers.

The AI-Assisted Messages feature generates message drafts based on candidate details and job context. You can customize language, tone, and included elements before sending. Candidates won’t be notified that the message was drafted using AI. Drafting an AI-assisted message saves you time, enhances message personalization, and helps you connect with candidates more effectively.

Important to know

When you draft bulk messages using AI-assistance, any edits you make to one draft apply only to that message, not to the other drafted messages. Please review and edit each AI-generated draft individually.

With auto-draft, you can automatically generate AI-assisted messages in bulk. The auto-draft setting can be configured at your account license level in Product settings, within AI preferences. The admin on your contract can also configure auto-draft settings for all users on the contract. Company settings will override account license level settings.

If you do not have the AI bulk message auto-draft setting turned on, you can choose when to draft initial or follow-up bulk messages by selecting bulk draft with AI directly in the body of a message.

Here's a tip

If you change the message language while bulk messaging, messages will be redrafted in the new language for all recipients at once. If the custom company element is turned on, it’s only included when the language is regenerated to English.

To send a bulk AI-assisted message:

  1. On the global search page or the Talent pool or Pipeline page of your project, select up to 25 candidates to message.

  2. Click Message at the top of the list of candidates.

  3. In the Compose Message window, click bulk draft with AI in the message body. Alternatively, click the Search for a template… field and select Draft with AI.

  4. Review the AI-generated draft. If you want a new version, click the Refresh icon at the bottom of the message to regenerate the draft.

  5. Click the Draft settings icon and select any of the following options to customize your message.

    • Adjust the message length and tone (available for English messages only).
    • Change the message language using the dropdown.
    • Select or deselect elements to include in the message.
    • Add custom content. Click the Add icon next to Company info and add information about your company, such as company benefits. Add a title and click Save.
  6. Click Draft again to redraft the message with your settings.

  7. Optional: Add a follow-up message. By default, follow-up messages are sent 7 days after the initial message if the candidate didn’t reply to your initial message. The same follow-up message will be sent to all recipients, and any changes you make will apply for all. Note: The AI-assisted bulk follow-up messages feature is currently available to LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers.

    • Click Follow-up, then click bulk draft with AI in the message body.
    • Click the Draft settings icon at the bottom of the follow-up message to adjust the message length and tone.
    • Click Advanced settings to customize the content included in the follow-up message.
  8. Click each recipient’s name at the top of the message to see a preview of each personalized message draft.

  9. Click Send to deliver the initial InMail and schedule the follow-up message.
