What this means for you

In staffing, relationships drive success. The Follow Updates feature in RPS+ helps you keep track of potential clients and hiring decision-makers without sending a connection request or message. By following profiles, you receive updates on key profile changes, enabling timely engagement and informed outreach. This is especially valuable in Business Development mode in Search, where building trust and staying top-of-mind with prospects is critical. Benefits and capabilities 

  • Act Faster, with more relevant outreach strategies: Use real-time profile updates to personalize your conversations and demonstrate awareness of a prospect’s recent moves.
  • Stay updated on key prospects: Receive in-app notifications when followed profiles update their company, role, or indicates they are hiring for a new job (using the #hiring frame).
  • Improve outreach efficiency: Eliminate manual monitoring of feed updates for hiring signals and fragmented workflows, freeing teams to focus on relationship-building.
  • Strengthen existing relationships: Stay proactively engaged with existing leads as their teams grow or change.
  • Non-intrusive engagement: Following a profile is discreet—ideal for early-stage business development when direct outreach may not yet be appropriate.

Follow Profiles in RPS+

The Follow Profiles feature ensures you stay informed about changes and updates that can influence your business development strategy. 

Prerequisites 

To use the Follow Profiles feature in RPS+, you must:

  • Have access to Recruiter Professional Services Plus. 
  • Be in Business Development mode in Recruiter. 

Steps

To following profiles using RPS+:

  1. Search for the profile. Use the Recruiter Search bar to find the prospect or client profile you want to follow. 

  2. Click the Bell icon. In your search results, click the Bell icon next to the candidate you’d like to follow.

  3. Toggle on up to 3 profile update notifications. Select up to 3 of the following options: 

    • Add a new position: When the candidate adds a new position to their LinkedIn profile.
    • Add a new company: When the candidate adds a new company to their LinkedIn profile.
    • Actively Hiring: When the candidate enables the #hiring frame on their LinkedIn profile to indicate they are hiring for a role at their current company.

    Important to know

    Based on the candidate’s LinkedIn profile visibility settings, certain types of notifications for the candidate’s profile may be unavailable.

  4. Click Confirm. The button will update the application to indicate you are now following the profile.

Result 

You will start receiving in-app notifications about the followed candidate’s activity, such as job changes or shared content, directly in your Recruiter dashboard.
