Provide feedback on candidate profiles in Microsoft Teams

Last updated: 1 month ago

Who can use this feature?

This feature is available to select organizations with a LinkedIn Recruiter or LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) contract that includes Hiring Assistant, the language setting set to English, and a Microsoft 365 plan with Teams on a Pro, Business, or Enterprise plan. We’re gradually making this experience available, and you might not have access to it at this time. Learn more about Hiring Assistant here.

As a hiring manager in LinkedIn Recruiter, you can provide feedback on candidate profiles a recruiter shared with you in Microsoft Teams if you have Hiring Assistant for Microsoft Teams.

When a recruiter shares a candidate profile with you through Microsoft Teams, you’ll receive a message in the LinkedIn Hiring Assistant chat.

Provide feedback on a single candidate

To provide feedback on a single candidate through Microsoft Teams:

  1. Open the message from LinkedIn Hiring Assistant in Microsoft Teams.

    • If this is your first time accessing the chat, you’ll be prompted to sign in to Recruiter from within Microsoft Teams. Follow the instructions in Microsoft Teams to sign in to Recruiter.
  2. Click View candidate. This will open a window within Microsoft Teams.

  3. In the Candidate feedback window, provide feedback on the profile by selecting one of the following:

    • Good fit if the candidate is a match for the role.
    • Not a fit if the candidate isn’t suitable for the role.
  4. Optional: Add a comment with specific feedback.

  5. Click Submit.

Provide feedback on multiple candidates

To provide feedback on multiple candidates through Microsoft Teams:

  2. Click the link in the message. This will open a page in your web browser.

  3. On the Candidate feedback page, provide feedback on the profiles by selecting one of the following:

    • Good fit if the candidate is a match for the role.
    • Not a fit if the candidate isn’t suitable for the role.
  4. Optional: Add a comment with specific feedback.

  5. Click Submit.

Your feedback will be recorded in the Feedback tab of the candidate's profile in Recruiter. The recruiter who submitted the feedback request will receive a notification in Recruiter once your feedback has been received. Your feedback will be used to update the hiring requirements for the project, and the recruiter may send more candidates for you to review.
