Enable or disable bulk messaging restrictions for all users in Recruiter

In LinkedIn Recruiter admins can set bulk messaging restrictions to limit the ability for users to send bulk InMail messages.

Product Setting and Account Center admins in Recruiter can choose to restrict all users or specific users on the contract. By default, restrictions aren’t enabled for users.

Who can use this feature?

This feature is only available for Recruiter Corporate or Recruiter Professional Services (RPS) contracts. Bulk messaging restrictions can only be placed on Recruiter seat types, not Hiring Manager, Talent Pipeline, or Dashboard Manager seats.

To enable or disable bulk messaging restrictions from the Product settings page:

  1. Move your cursor over your profile picture at the top of your Recruiter homepage and select Product settings from the dropdown.

  2. Click Preferences on the left pane.

  3. On the Preferences page, click Edit to the right of Enable bulk messaging restrictions.

  4. Choose Limit all seats to restrict all users.

    • Select Limit specific seats to restrict individual users. Follow the steps outlined in Apply bulk messaging restrictions for specific users to set the restriction from LinkedIn Admin Center. You must have user and license management admin permissions to complete this process.
    • Select No seats limited (default) to disable the bulk messaging restriction for all users.

  5. Click Save.
