When you block a member on LinkedIn, here's what will happen in LinkedIn Recruiter:
-
You won't be able to access that member's profile.
-
You won't be able to message each other.
-
We'll stop suggesting that member to you in features like Similar Profiles and Inside Opinion.
-
The member will be removed from any projects that they were associated with.
-
Existing notes on that member's profile will be saved and visible to other members in your Recruiter contract.
Here's a tip
Only you will be able to unblock the member and in most cases we won't notify the member that you blocked them. If you block a member that you share or have shared a Recruiter account with, we may need to let that member, or the Recruiter admin, know about the block in order to effectively manage that Recruiter account. If you’re blocking someone that you currently or previously have shared a Recruiter account with, we reserve the right to notify this member of your block.
Please note the following regarding blocking:
-
Blocking doesn't apply to information you've made public, such as public profiles, content posted in public (open) group discussions, public shares, and comments on Top Voices posts.
-
Contact records that have been stored or saved locally to your device must be removed manually.
-
If you're accessing LinkedIn via a mobile device, you could see cached data regarding the blocked member's profile. To refresh your cache, sign out and then sign back into your LinkedIn app.
-
If you're using 3rd party applications that leverage LinkedIn's APIs, you could see cached data of a blocked member on those applications. If that occurs, you'll want to contact the application for instructions on removing that cached data.
-
If you block a recruiter from their member profile, the recruiter won't be able to send any messages to the candidate from their Recruiter profile either.
