Basic jobs on LinkedIn

Last updated: 1 year ago

Basic Jobs are job posts gathered by LinkedIn to create a comprehensive job seeking experience for LinkedIn members. They are visible to candidates actively conducting a job search or viewing a company’s LinkedIn Page.

Important to know

In some cases, we may require certain types of jobs to be promoted on LinkedIn. Jobs that require promotion may include jobs that are reposted within a certain time period, jobs by companies with generic names (such as “Confidential Company”), or jobs from search and staffing companies.

Certain Basic Jobs may be promoted to LinkedIn members through targeted recommendations in the Recommended Jobs feature.

For customers who purchased Job Slots, LinkedIn offers Job Wrapping, which copies all jobs published to your career site or jobs’ source and allows job posters to prioritize specific jobs in Job Slots. It requires minimal technical effort and is based on the same technology supporting millions of Basic Jobs. Any jobs not placed into a Job Slot appear as Basic Jobs on LinkedIn and on your company’s Page.

Customers who have purchased Job Posts can post Basic Jobs and promote priority roles using advanced targeting, paying only when qualified candidates click to view the role.

If you’ve found a job on LinkedIn that is inappropriate, broken or incorrect, please report the job post for our team to review.
