Manage the emails learners and admins receive from Learning

Last updated: 1 month ago

Learners and admins receive different kinds of emails from LinkedIn Learning. These emails include Activation reminders, Granting of admin/sub admin permissions, and Engagement with Learning depending on their Learning activity.

These emails are sent to learners by default, but admins can choose to turn them off or on. Once admins have turned the emails off, learners and admins won’t receive these emails from Learning. If you choose to turn any of these features off, it can take up to 48 hours for the change to reflect in your organization’s account.

Important to know

Admin functionality isn’t available within the Learning apps. To access Learning Management, please use a desktop device.

To manage the emails from LinkedIn Learning:
  1. From Learning Management, Settings > Customization.

  2. Select Emails to admins or curators or Emails to learners.

  3. Switch the toggle to Off/On to turn off/on any of the following kinds of emails:

    Emails to admins or curators

    • Emails to new administrators: Admins receive this one-time email once they’ve been given admin/sub admin permissions.
    • Emails to invite new curators: Curators receive this one-time email once they’ve been given curator permissions.
    • Emails to engage curators: These monthly emails help drive curator content curation and sharing. These emails include insights on the total number of viewers for their curated content, along with their most popular curated content that month. This email will not be sent if there was no change in curation or related viewer activity in the last 30 days.
    • Emails to admins for low license activations: These monthly emails remind full admins to engage their inactive learners if a significant percentage of them haven't activated their licenses. This email will not be sent if the account is above 50% activation rate.

    Emails to learners

    • Emails to new learners: Learners receive an activation email once they've been invited to join LinkedIn Learning by admins, and a series of welcome emails in the first two weeks after they've activated. These emails are the most effective way to increase license activation and use.
    • Emails to learners for binding: These include binding reminder emails for first-time activated learners as well as learners who haven't previously completed the binding flow.
    • Emails to engage learners: These weekly suggestion and reminder emails help drive engagement with learners.
    • Emails to learners for binding: These include binding reminder emails for first time activated learners who haven't attempted binding.
    • Emails from your organization: These emails are specific to communication and trends from your organization.
