Path Robotics was founded by brothers Andy and Alex Lonsberry with a desire to help fill workforce gaps in the manufacturing industry. At Path Robotics, we understand manufacturers are constantly being asked to do more with less; more reshoring, more demand, and more requirements with less time, less talent, and less tolerance. We’re helping guide the Fourth Industrial Revolution in manufacturing by providing robotic support to help keep up with those challenges. Our welding robots absorb high-volume, repetitive tasks by leveraging AI and machine learning. By doing this, we’re putting humans in safe, productive environments that allows manufacturers to increase productivity and grow their business.

Everybody told Andrew Lonsberry to move Path Robotics from Ohio to Silicon Valley. He said NO. "We decided to build in Ohio and we're not going to leave," Lonsberry, Path Robotics' co-founder and CEO, told me this week. Why he's betting the company on his home state: – Proximity to customers: "Our customers are in the heartland. We want to be deeply ingrained with them." – Talent pipeline: "You can get great talent in Ohio, amazing talent. People from The Ohio State University, people from Case Western Reserve University." – Manufacturing heritage: "If you want to lead manufacturing, you've got to do it where manufacturing was rooted, and that's in Ohio." Now the coasts are coming to Ohio. Path Robotics is part of Team HYPR – a partnership with HII and GrayMatter Robotics to build robotic manufacturing systems for America's largest shipbuilder. Today at Sea-Air-Space, HII announced the High-Yield Production Robotics (HYPR) program — a joint initiative with Path Robotics and GrayMatter Robotics applying physical AI to accelerate shipbuilding.
