I didn’t grow up with options. I grew up with direction. I was raised in an Indian Naval colony. No TV for years. No fridge. No phone. But one thing was never missing. Values. My parents didn’t give us money. They gave us education. And something even rarer. Clarity. Study well. Be honest. Don’t cheat. Don’t hurt people. Family comes first. That was it. No big speeches. No pressure to be “the best”. Just consistency. That education took me from a middle-class home in India to building a life in the U.S. to teaching others how to build careers they’re proud of. Over the years, I’ve learned this: Education doesn’t make you rich. It makes you independent. It gives you choices. It gives you confidence. It gives you dignity. That belief is why I do what I do today. Why teaching still excites me. Why student success matters more to me than titles. I’m sharing this because many people feel behind. Or stuck. Or unsure if they chose the right path. You don’t need shortcuts. You need direction. And direction compounds faster than luck.
