The Wall of Cash Boosting 1Q Results 🔸 Where are we with results so far? 2 weeks ago support levels were reached or breached with a sense of crisis in the air. Today, markets at ATHs despite no Middle East resolution & $106 oil. Why? Loads of cash boosting tech results. In Eur, results show flat sales and 3% eps growth but add back FX effect and its a bit higher. 🔸 The AI cash machine…who’s benefitting? In Tech – bumper orders for BESI, ASMI, STM. SAP benefitting from not being AI exposed. TSMC & Texas Instruments guided for higher revenue; Intel beat and raised on solid CPU demand. In Industrials – ABB triple digit order growth in DCs suggests accelerating demand not a peak looks like taking market share. 🔸 What’s happening with the consumer? Staples meeting or beating with Luxury hit by FX and the Gulf. LVMH 1% org growth but ex-Gulf 2%, in-line with consensus. 🔸 What’s been the biggest surprise? Costs. Canon warned on memory prices, similar on component costs from Ericsson and VAT Gp (helium and bromine shortages). Next week all eyes on Atlas Copco, Schneider, Microsoft and META #equities #AI #luxurygoods #industrials #hyperscalers

Real estate is entering a new phase defined less by cycles and more by structural change, discipline, and technology. Yesterday, Bloomberg Intelligence and EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) hosted the 2026 Real Estate Finance Summit in London. Across panels, three themes stood out. ** AI is reshaping demand: accelerating the flight to quality in offices, driving sustained growth in data centres, and becoming a key operational lever for efficiency and income. ** Capital markets have shifted — higher-for-longer rates are raising the bar, making performance increasingly dependent on execution, cash flow, and strategic clarity rather than momentum. ** The macro backdrop has fundamentally changed, with persistent inflation risks and structural forces signalling that the low-rate era is no longer the baseline. The implication is clear: success in real estate will depend on how effectively assets are positioned, operated, and powered in this new environment. Many thanks to the speakers for the insightful discussion and to all attendees for the engaging conversations.
