Summary: I began programming in the early 1990's in Visual Basic. I started writing code for Microsoft Support Services in the late 90s and by 1999 I had switched from Visual Basic to Microsoft SQL Server. I stuck with SQL Server until 2024 when the market changed from a local data market into a cloud data market. I started learning Azure and certified in Azure fundamentals. Then I deep-dove into all aspects of Azure, Power BI and finally Fabric. I'm still pursuing a Fabric Data Engineer certification but in the interim I've built a new service from my own Quicken experience. I received notice from Quicken they were raising my annual "rental" fee to $75.00. I decided to convert all my Quicken functionality into an Excel interface. I used Gemini to assist me and wrote Python to convert the Quicken data into Excel data. I realized I wanted more functionality and ended with an Excel workbook that uses VBA and many buttons on 5 seperate sheets to read and write data into a SQLite database. Soon, I'll offer this conversion service to others on LinkedIn.

Summary: Software engineer with 15 years of experience, most of it as the sole developer on production systems in small businesses. My background spans industrial machine control software (C#/WPF, C++, hardware DAQ systems), enterprise web applications (ASP.NET, SQL Server, Oracle), and my own commercial products currently in development.I specialize in C# and the .NET ecosystem and work across a broad stack including C++, C, Python, TypeScript, and SQL. I'm comfortable with legacy codebases, long-lived systems, and work where correctness matters, including real-time measurement pipelines and hardware-interfacing applications where bugs have physical consequences.Recent independent work includes a full-stack MES application (ASP.NET Core / EF Core / Azure, 290+ automated tests) and TCard, a developer productivity tool with LLM integration built to solve a real problem in AI-augmented development workflows.I'm currently open to senior IC roles in the DFW area, up to Sherman or Ardmore, or remote, with a preference for industrial software, OT systems, manufacturing, and infrastructure.

Summary: I founded Thomas Risk Systems (TRS) to reduce the manual bottlenecks that slow down commercial insurance submissions. The focus is underwriting intake and quote readiness: turning messy emails, ACORDs, loss runs, and supporting PDFs into a clean, standardized risk packet. TRS is built to support underwriting judgment, not replace it. The workflow extracts key fields, flags missing information, produces a structured summary, and helps route submissions based on basic eligibility and appetite rules so underwriters and ops teams spend less time rekeying and chasing items. I’m building and piloting this approach with real-world input from commercial insurance professionals and continuously refining the intake checklists by line of business. Primary focus areas include General Liability and BOP intake workflows, with expansion into Commercial Property, Commercial Auto, and Cyber. Open to pilot partners and underwriting operations roles (remote/hybrid/in-person).
