Bullet graphs explained: What, when, why, and how
If you've ever been to a fundraiser before, or watched your favorite sitcom characters participate in one on TV, you've probably seen a meter like this before. As cliche as it might be, the fundraising thermometer is popular for a reason. It quickly communicates a goal, and how a funding campaign is tracking toward that goal. This information is critical for anyone hoping to measure the success or failure of an initiative, but it can leave audiences with some unanswered questions. In response to those questions, meters and gauges like this inspired the BULLET GRAPH, a chart created to display quantitative progress towards a goal in a way that a fundraising meter does, while also including a qualitative layer of additional context to provide an even richer story for your audience.
