- Intersectionality is the way in which our many facets as human beings correlate to make up who we are. An organization with no true sensitivity towards the concept of intersectionality can never be inclusive to its fullest potential. This is because inclusion cannot be achieved by only focusing on select diversity-oriented issues. Intersectionality widens our diversity lens so as not to disregard anyone's human qualities. There are sure to be employees who feel excluded and discriminated against where there is no consideration for intersectionality. This is why we must always stay conscious of the endless possibilities for what our standards for normalcy can look like. Knowing that there is no one right or normal type of human being is an intersectionality inclusive mindset.
