A complex, adaptive approach to team functioning

- A critical skill for teams and team coaches is simplexity. The art of baking complex issues simple, but not simplistic. I and my team have been researching this for more than a decade. Some of the world's biggest companies have given us access to their highest performing teams, and we've digested hundreds of other studies relating to what makes teams function well or badly. The conclusions tested by hundreds of coaches around the world is that there are just six key factors that combine in different ways to produce high or low performance. So, what are they? First, is purpose and motivation. Being very clear and aligned about what the team is there for, what that means in terms of goals, and the priorities in achieving the goals.
