- [Instructor] As with any Spring Boot application, we start with the Spring Boot Initializer. We have a VS Code plugin in Codespaces, so let's walk through the application creation process. The first thing I want you to do is to go to the Command Palette. And in here you're going to type initializer, and you'll see is you type that it dwindles the list down, and you're going to create a Maven project. Now we're going to select the latest released version of Spring Boot. We're going to pick Java as our language. Now here I'm going to put in a group name, and I'm going to use my domain com.frankmoley, and I'm going to put in lil. You do with this what you want, create a group that makes sense for you. Now we're going to call our app wisdom-api. We're going to select jar, and we're going to select Java 21, which is the latest LTS version.
