Creating a skeleton project
- [Instructor] So now we're going to create a quick skeleton project to be used throughout this course. The first thing I'd like you to do is to navigate to start.spring.io. Now, there's several ways to do this. Many modern IDEs have a plugin you can use, but I'm going to walk you through the web way here real quick. Select Maven. Select Java as your language. Use the latest version of Spring Boot. This course was designed for 3.3.0, but there's nothing that really should change with what we're going to do. Set your group to com.lil, or anything else that you want to use. We'll create an artifact. We will simply call this spring-demo. Go ahead and select Jar. And make sure that Java 17 is your version. We're going to add one dependency, and we'll add some more later if we need them. But for now, that's it. Go ahead and click Generate. Now, this is going to create a skeleton project, and it's going to actually put this into your Downloads directory. So now I'm going to jump into my…
