Optimizing form layouts and fields
- [Instructor] Forms are how we interact with individual records, whether it's updating an incident, reviewing a change, or approving a request. Sometimes they're too crowded or they just don't fit your daily tasks. To personalize a form, click the slider's icon at the top. Here, you'll see which fields are visible and which are hidden. Hovering over a field in the list actually highlights where it appears on screen. You can hide and show fields by simply checking and unchecking the box. The customizations apply only to you. It's like cleaning up your own desk. Be careful. Unlike with lists where the gear icon shows a dot on personalized, there's no visual indicator that shows you're using a personalized view, so it can be easy to forget. To reset everything back to defaults, simply click the slider's icon and choose Reset. If you want to make changes that apply to everyone or build more intelligent form layouts, use Form Builder.
