Hello guys, welcome back. This is Deepika from mytutorialrack.com. And in this tutorial we will talk about ingestion API. What is the meaning of the word ingestion? Ingestion means to insert the data. It's an API to insert the data. The Data Cloud Ingestion API is a way to programmatically load data into the platform either in near real time or as a batch process. So, let's say whenever a visitor comes onto a website, you want to insert that information inside of Data Cloud. One of the way is you establish the connectors and you bring the data inside the Data Cloud using those connectors. The other way is programmatically inserting the data. And what we're going to do here is we're going to use ingestion API to load the data inside of Data Cloud. So, this is all about ingestion API. In the next tutorial, we are going to do a mini project in which I'll show you how Ingestion API works. So, I'll see you then. Thank you very much.
