- [Instructor] Our project is really starting to take shape. So now let's go ahead and let's declare some of these spaces so that we know what we're working with. I'm going to come up here to the architecture ribbon. I'm going to come over here to where it says room and area and I'm going to click on room. I'm now going to go through and I'm going to place all of my rooms. One thing I always like to warn people on, if you're going to place your rooms try to do them in a orderly fashion because remember, Revit likes to number things and it keeps track of those. So if you go a number a room in one place and they go all the way across to another you're going to have haphazard numbering. So just try to keep that in order. Something else to pay attention to when it comes to rooms, our rooms are no longer just tags inside of a space. A room is actually a component.
