Right, well, let's get going in our journey to see how to create a complete React application. Let's have a quick recap of where we are at the moment. So up until this point, we've seen how to create relatively simple React applications. As you know, we've put all our JavaScript code and all our HTML into a single web page, like index.html. and then we've used script tags to download the React libraries into the browser at runtime. So this is suboptimal. We think about what's going on when we open our web page in the browser. At runtime the browser has to download the React libraries and also it has to convert all of our JSX into pure JavaScript at runtime. So this has a runtime overhead. Not the best way to do it. A good way to get started but not the best way to do it in production. Yes so as I was just saying we've currently been using Babel.
