Rapid ideation process
- Creative thinking is intentional thinking, so speeding up the ideation process means separating divergent thinking and convergent thinking into separate definable activities while simply dividing the two mental processes may be enough for you, I've always benefited from seeing that division happen over three separate activities. Invention, iteration, and inflation each have their own divergent and convergent parts. Before you begin, take a moment to document a few criteria for your measurement of your ideas. These can include objective qualities like budget or size but they can also include subjective qualities like personal preference or perceived response. Doing this now will make the process faster and easier later. The first stage is invention. Invention starts with a divergent activity of pure undivided ideation. Generate as many ideas as possible.
