- [Narrator] For over 40 years, I've been advocating this principle. Use the right tool at the right time to do the right job. For instance, would you use a hammer to drive in a screw? Of course not. This is why prototyping software is not a one size fits all prototyping solution. The prototyping software discussed in this chapter is merely a tool. In many respects, Figma is a hammer, UXPin is a wrench, Principle for Mac is a screwdriver and Penpot is a drill. Let me provide you with an example. Do you design a screen of Photoshop or Bohemian Sketch? Sketch has been the preferred tool for static screen design for years due to its ease of use, feature set, and integration capabilities with prototyping applications. However, Photoshop has been around since the dawn of digital design and is regarded as the gold standard for imaging. But is it a screen design application? Not quite.
