Practices for deploying a DB system: Overview
(gentle music) - [Instructor] Welcome to the practices for module two, deploying a database system. This module has a total of five practices. We'll be creating, connecting, and editing a MySQL database system. We'll also increase the storage size, stop, start, and restart that same system. To look more closely in practice 2-1, we'll navigate the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console into MySQL Heatwave database systems. We'll launch the create database system wizard. Here, we'll enter or select the values of our new MySQL database system, which includes enabling a MySQL Heatwave. We'll configure the network and confirm the shapes, and explore advanced options. Finally, we'll create a PAR link, so that users will be able to access the object storage bucket used in these practices. In practice 2-2, we'll open the CloudShell and set up an ephemeral private network. From there, we'll connect to the MySQL database system and run a sample command.
