Controlling dialogs
- [Instructor] In this exercise we will learn to control dialogs using docking, autohide, and other great interface features available in AutoCAD. Continue using the file for chapter one, Surviving the Interface.dwg. First, let's look at how you can control where, and when, the various dialogs appear using the AutoCAD interface. The dialogs in AutoCAD provide several options to control the position of the windows, palettes, and toolbars, to accommodate the way each of us works. First, let's look at docking dialogs. I will open the Properties dialog. And here you will find the controls for this dialog. Docking dialogs in AutoCAD can be done with various tools and options. First, let's look at Allow Docking. Allow Docking controls if the dialog can be docked or will remain floating. Docking a dialog allows you to dock or anchor a dialog in the application window.
