The public folder hierarchy
Go to public folders. there are no folders at this time. we can see there are two different public folder mailboxes, And we can see it doesn't have any data yet. on the right hand side, it says primary hierarchy and secondary hierarchy. What this means is, any public folders we create will be a writable copy on the primary hierarchy. Then the secondary hierarchy gets a copy of everything in read only form. So if the primary hierarchy mailbox goes offline, gets deleted, gets corrupted, the data is still available in our secondary hierarchy. And then we can make that writable if we need to. Let's go to where it says public folders, we'll click a new one. we'll click a new one. And we'll call this one shared folder. We'll leave the default path, click Save. If we want to be able to receive email on this we'll click the mail settings enable. Click Yes. Now we'll go to folder permissions. And we'll make sure that the…
