- [Instructor] Connectors help control the flow of email messages to and from your Office 365 organization. You can check if you need to create a connector within your organization by looking into the information we have here. There are certain scenarios that could cause you to create a connector within your organization, one of which is if you have a standalone Exchange Online Protection subscription. In this case, you have your whole on-premises email server, and you subscribe to the Exchange Online Protection only for email protection services for your on-premises mailbox. Also, if you have an hybrid set up where you have some mailboxes in your on-premises email server and you have some mailboxes in Exchange Online, then with this scenario, you can create a connector. You could set your connector to send email from your on-premises email server to your Office 365, and vice versa. To create a connector, you need to have an accepted domain.
