Moving to a PaaS service begins to shift a lot of the backend responsibility from the administrative team to the cloud provider. PaaS services are useful in cloud-native deployments and application modernization efforts. These services typically have slightly less control because the cloud provider has a pre-configured version that's available to use, but that also means there's less management overhead. The concerns about the host infrastructure, network controls and even some application controls shift from the administrative team to the cloud provider.
