Exam SC-100 Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
Hello and welcome. My name is Charles Pluta and I'll be walking you through the cybersecurity architect exam. I'm a Microsoft certified trainer and I'm an engineer at Microsoft where I assist our customers with their Azure infrastructure and security. This course is for the Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect certification. It's intended to help you walk through the objectives that are covered on the exam and give you a starting point for studying for that exam. We've created four modules in this course that map to the main areas of the exam. Module one talks about how to design a zero trust strategy. This includes the overall business goals, security operations and the identity strategy that's needed to achieve zero trust. Module two then talks about risk and compliance. How can we understand and design for regulatory compliance and then evaluate our security posture for that compliance? Module three gets into the core infrastructure that we need for our application. This includes designing for secure servers, endpoints as well as the various IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services that might be used. Finally, module four discusses the application and the data side. How should we specify for our application and that data that's used and how do we secure both? Now to achieve the cybersecurity architect certification, you must complete one of the prerequisites that Microsoft has defined. There's a few options that are available in the certification path, but that also means in this course that we assume that you already have some foundational knowledge of both Azure and Microsoft 365. So let's get started.
