Enabling multifactor authentication for a user
- [Instructor] I've mentioned earlier that there are two different types of Entra ID tenants that you can find yourself with, one that is either free or one that is premium. So the premium comes in two flavor, Premium 1 and Premium 2, P1, P2, and we have here the free Entra ID tenant, as you can tell from the license description here, it is the free tenant. So in order to enable multifactor authentication, the type of tenant that you are running will actually make a difference in the methodology that you use. It would also make a difference in terms of how you can configure multifactor authentication and the options that you have available to you. Now, once you enable multifactor authentication for a free tenant, you'll have a certain number of configuration available to you, but you will not have the more advanced configuration available through conditional access policies.
