Multitask between multiple applications
- [Instructor] When you have multiple applications open and you need to jump back and forth between them, this is known as multitasking. Now, first, you need to know which application is currently active. On my screen, I have several applications open, but the Calculator is the currently active application. Its window is on top of all the others, but more importantly, I can see that its menus are up here at the top of the window. Notice how the first menu item says Calculator. The active application has your focus. Menu commands and keyboard shortcuts only work in the application that is active. Now, I can easily switch to another application by clicking on that Applications window. So if I click on the Photos window, that application becomes active. And we're already multitasking.
