I want to show you how I approach pairing typography with logo designs in order to harmonize the aesthetic of a brand mark when it's locked up with a typeface, but I also want to touch on organizing your typefaces and managing them as well, so let's dive into it. Now I'm sorry to admit this, but it took me seven years to actually get around to organizing all my typeface into style categories, because in my head I can have a general idea, an aesthetic that I want. Maybe in this case I wanted an extended sans font, and so I just go to my extended sans style category and then I just drill down and start looking at previews on screen of these typefaces, and this is one of 'em that I chose to include in my exploration. Now if you look at these, you can see some that are art deco. Here's all my Adobe fonts, so I keep those in their own folder. Here's block slab, comic book-type fonts.
