Adding and customizing fades ins and outs
- [Instructor] Transitions are ways to get from one scene to another. They often serve as a cue your audience, like a paragraph break, that you're beginning a new thought or a new scene. One of the most basic transitions is the simple fade. Fade in, fade out. And in this session, we're going to take a look at how fade ins and fade outs are created in Premiere Elements, and then how you can customize them for your specific needs. To add a fade into a clip on your timeline, very, very simple. You just right click on the clip, and here under the fade sub menu, you have options for fading in audio, fading in video, fading in both, fading out or adding a fade in at the beginning and a fade out at the end. We'll select the option here to fade in audio and video, and you can see a change in the clip.
