- [Instructor] In a previous video, we looked into Oracle table compression at a very high level. Let's take a little deeper dive into some of the additional features and inner workings. As a refresher, the three types of table compression are compress basic, row store compress advanced, and column store compression on certain platforms. To load these tables in their various types of compression, you might use a different load method. For compress basic, you'd definitely want to use direct path loads. The same goes for column store compress. For row store compress advanced, you could use direct path loads or any type of DML statement. That's the beauty of row store advanced compression, is that you can really use all load methods, and you won't lose the benefits of advanced compression.
