- Microsoft Fabric, all the data is stored inside a One Lake and there's only one One Lake per tenant. You have access to all of the data in One Lake, and if you've been granted access to the workspace, which contains data, or is someone who has access in the workspace, has granted access to you, that is how you have access to the data in One Lake. Someone can also create a shortcut, allowing you to access other parts of One Lake that you would not ordinarily have the security rights to. When we have access to the data in a workspace, we have access to all the content in the workspace. The security can be minimal, it has view access, otherwise you have the ability to modify all of the content in the workspace. If we need to access data in the workspace, we don't need access to the entire workspace, we can just have the content shared with us.
