- [Voiceover] I've collected my slider control named Set Temp to these other two numeric indicators. And if I put my mouse over that slider, it turns into this hand icon. And if I click and drag, I can move the slider up and down. That changes the input value of the control but none of my indicators change. And that's because this program isn't running. To run a VI in lab view, click the little white run arrow in the top left. The screen flickered briefly there as the program ran. Taking the values from controls, passing them over wires to the indicators, and then updating the display. I can see the thermometer and numeric indicators now have the same value of 53. After this program updated those indicators, it was finished, so now it's no longer running. If I move the slider control again, nothing happens. Notice this second icon next to the run arrow.
