Setting site limits and constraints
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to look at one more project setup task. We're going to add some site limits, or zones, or even constraints to our project. Now, what are these things? We've got site limits, zones, and constraints. And there's some similarity between the three, but they are three different types of items. And not all three are required, but what they have in common is they help you define the area of the work that you'll be doing, okay? So you can find them here on this toolbar right here, and you could see that there's a limits flyout. A site limit is close to a property line, if you want to think of it that way. It's like the property that your building will occupy, the sort of legal property line. A zone is more about defining an area that you want to analyze. So, later in the course, we're going to talk about a variety of different kinds of analysis that we can do in Forma, and zones can help you limit the analysis to certain areas of the project, okay?…
