- [Instructor] In this chapter, we're going to begin looking at the analysis tools that are available to us in Autodesk Forma. Now, I'm here in the help system for Forma. You can get there by typing in help.autodeskforma.com in your web browser. And I'm just going to browse down here a little bit, and there's this item here for Analyses. So I'll click on that. There are quite a few articles here that talk about the various analyses that are open to us in Forma. Area metrics is one that we've already seen in some of the earlier videos here in the course, and this just analyzes the actual physical geometry of your model and gives you things like the floor area ratio and the rentable area and things like that. So we've already seen some of that simple numerical analysis of area metrics, but very useful when you're doing design considerations and design proposals, because knowing whether or not you're meeting your targets on area is an important aspect.
