- [Instructor] In this video, I want to continue our look at parking layout, and we're going to focus on the exterior of the building this time. So if you want to create surface-based parking, parking that's not associated with a piece of building geometry, then you cannot use the internal tool. The internal tool only works with basic buildings, so you have to have a basic building floor and edit it in the floor plan. What I want to do in this video is I want to create an external parking lot here in this location. So we've got this sort of site limit right here, and I want to create, in that general area, a new parking lot. So in order to do that, I'm going to need to rely on an extension to Forma. Now an extension is just a third party application created by some other company that plugs into Forma and adds additional functionality.
