- [Presenter] Your development board is connected with the USB cable and MicroPython has been installed. Now it's time to set up a development environment so you can edit and upload applications. One of the easiest ways to do this is by installing the Thonny Integrated Development Environment, or IDE. Thonny incorporates an editor and file manager to access both your computer and the file system on your development board. Another important feature of Thonny is its serial monitor, which allows you to interact directly with your board and MicroPython's interactive mode. So let's go to the desktop to download and to install Thonny. Here I am on the Thonny website. You can scroll down and see all of Thonny's features. We're going to keep it pretty basic right now. And you can see the download links are up here at the top. There's one for each of the operating systems.
