Setting up RealTerm for serial communication
- [Instructor] Let's install a serial communication program on our PC to allow us to receive messages sent from our microcontroller using the UAuth protocol. A popular program is RealTerm, which serves as a serial terminal emulator. Its primary purpose is to help us monitor and interact with serial communication between our SDM 32 microcontroller and our PC. So basically, our microcontroller will be a serial transmitter, and the computer will be a serial receiver, and this program will allow us to view what is received from the UAuth, and we would use this in our project to help us explain some of the arrow tools concept. So I'll come to Google over here and search download, and then I'll say RealTerm. There are many serial programs out there. RealTerm is a common one, and the first link here is sourceforge.net. So this is a website for downloading open source 2.0s. So we are going to download RealTerm. I'll click to download over here. And it says that the download will start…
