Transparency and blend modes

- [Instructor] If you're a Photoshop user, you may well already be familiar with the concept of blend modes. But if not, don't worry. That's perfectly all right. What blend modes are, they're ways of calculating the difference between two or more objects by how one blending object affects the appearance of or combines the appearance of the blending target, the thing that's underneath it, or things. Of all the blending modes, if we go here to opacity, so I'm just going to go to the opacity panel just here with the transparency panel. I should say although they're flip sides of the same coin, these are the blending modes that Illustrator has. Now you can see it's a fraction of what Photoshop has and a really small fraction of what After Effects has if you use that product as well.
